all the films

The films in this collection are produced by students of the School of Interactive Arts and Technology, Simon Fraser University (SFU), over the past three semesters: Summer 2020, Spring 2021, Fall 2021, and Spring 2022. This rich set of films portrays SFU students’ pandemic experience over three distinct moments in time: the start of the pandemic, the “new normal” and returning to in-person learning. However, while these are three distinct temporal scales for students within the pandemic, there was also a constant lingering uncertainty, as none of us knew where the pandemic would take us. By bringing together the films in this portfolio, we wanted to take the opportunity to document the feelings and changes over time. We would like to invite you to explore the films and the different themes they explore through engaging with the tag cloud.
